When it comes to launching, running, and growing a business, we all have fears. That’s natural and expected. But when we let those fears stop us from pursuing what makes us happy, it’s time to pause, reflect, and adjust.
So if you’ve recognized certain fears are holding you back, let’s pause.
Now let’s reflect: What’s scaring you right now about your fashion business?
Are you scared you won’t make money?
Are you scared you won’t keep making money?
Are you scared you don’t know how to grow it?
Are you scared you don’t know enough about business?
Are you scared you don’t know how to build a team?
Are you scared it’s all too good to be true?
What is the thing that’s scaring you? This is something we all need to figure out if we want to reach our fashion business milestones and goals.
Because the things that scare us are the things that tend to stop us.
If you find that fear is the thing that keeps popping up and stopping you from doing what needs to be done, take a step back and work on it.
Write those fears down.
Keep asking yourself why this particular thing scares you. Write down your answers. And get yourself to a point where you can see all the small things that are feeding that fear. All the beliefs you have, all the habits that are not serving you, and all the blocks that keep popping up.
But then you have to keep going. Figure out how you’re going to work to remove or improve them.
What are you going to do to make sure that the fears will not win?
What kind of pep talk will you give yourself every day?
What skills will you commit to learning?
What help will you ask for?
Who will you ask?
What will you take responsibility for?
How will you start to think differently?
How will you start to act differently?
Asking yourself these questions and taking action on them is the only way to remove the obstacles that are sitting in front of you. It’s the only way to address the fears that keep you in the same place, month after month, year after year.
If you really want this, you will do this exercise.
If you really want this, you will admit to yourself that there is an opportunity to do better.
If you really want this, you’ll remind yourself that you . . .
will not let what scares you stop you.
Lots of love and encouragement,
