Textile Recycling: 4 Companies Helping Make a Difference

Recycle Clothing & Textiles

Recently, on more than one occasion, the topic of Textile Recycling has surfaced.  I love the idea that companies are taking mill scraps and creating beautiful and wearable clothing and accessories, like the initiative at American Apparel that launched last year.  As textile folks we should all be thinking about the waste produced in our profession. Not only that, we should be thinking about what we can do with it.  Donating it to companies who possess the creativity and innovation to recycle the goods is, in my opinion, a fantastic first step.

With that said, at the risk of sounding bossy, I suggest you spend some time on the websites of these companies.  Come on, do your part. You’ll feel good about it.  I promise!
