Friday Fashion Business Tip: Focus Less on Comparison, More on Goals

fashion business tip

Getting caught up in what others are managing to accomplish in their businesses is something we’re all guilty of. It’s hard not to look at someone who is making all happen and not wonder what you’re doing wrong.

What we often don’t realize is that that person (and business) struggled at some point too. Rebecca Minkoff almost closed her business before it took off.

In my experience, the one thing that a lot of these successful business owners did in the early stages was to focus on the their goals, and blind themselves to the comparison.

They knew that if they really wanted to see success, they could not keep comparing themselves and their businesses to others. Because when you do that, it’s a terrible cycle where you find yourself never happy; focusing on what you don’t have rather than what you’re working to get.

And if you don’t focus on your goals, you’ll never reach them.
